Soon, my eyes shall see the pearly gates
My ears to hear the sound of angels
My feet to walk the streets of gold
My hands to cuddle the glory of God
My God, my hope, my faith, my desire
And while I loved the gift of years
I knew very well they would not last
Until He scoops me from the earth in the palm of His hands
Till then my life I’d live
As one in transit
Yet, an impact I long to make as I wait
So men who wait when I’m long gone
May look and be transformed
If ever I miss this truth
Then the life I live here now is all but one big lie!
