Quit praying and move! Yes! I believe in prayer and the purpose of this is not to discourage prayer at all. The Bible enjoins us to pray always without ceasing. However, there are moments in our lives where having prayed, God is ready to do His next big thing, but waits on us to move by faith, trusting Him to do after we have prayed. Yet often times, we find ourselves still at the same position and we use prayer as an excuse.
I want to encourage you, pray! Pray daily, but move also. God is waiting on you to make your move and He’d make His. Most people wait on God to do, what God waits on them to do. Consider the story of Moses and the Israelites at the Red Sea; “And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today… The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.” While Moses was preaching to the people, and they all waiting on the Lord [for he said, Stand Still and see…], the Lord was rather surprised at him, and screamed, “What is the use of all these long prophecies and speeches, and why are you waiting for me? I’ve been waiting for you to move so I can perform my next great miracle.
Another revelatory passage is in Joshua 7. After Achan stole the accursed thing, Israel were repeatedly defeated in every battle. Joshua did the usual thing; “prayer, sackcloth, ashes etc., together with all the leaders. And while they were lying on the ground in prayer all day long, God came to him and said; “Quit praying, and go fix the problem, then I’d be with you.” When they removed this accursed thing, God gave them the victory. ” Move! Move! Move! Don’t procrastinate with divinity. . Exodus 14:13-15. Declare I will move!
